User Interface

DHTML Menu Builder features a very easy to use interface which will help you build your menu structures without having to write a single line of code.

This is a screenshot of the main window

The main display is divided in two sections. The left side of the main window is where you design your menus structure.
Represented in bold text and by the icon are the groups. Right below each group there are a set of commands, represented by the icon.

This image shows you how DHTML Menu Builder represents groups and the different types of commands.

When you click over any of the items in this view, DHTML Menu Builder will automatically update its interface to show you what buttons, text boxes or menu items can be used with the selected item.

For example, because groups do not support the Caption property, when you select a group this textbox will be disabled, and it will be re-enabled when you select a command. But, if you select a separator (which is a special type of command) the Caption property will be disabled again, because separators are only lines and do not have any text to display.

This way, the program always maintains the same interface, just disabling the settings that do not apply to the select item.
